Casa.Film

Casa.Film (old "Casa na Árvore) is based in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. It is a feature film and series production company specializing in the connection between cinema, the arts and technology. Founded in 2018 by producer André Hallak, the company is responsible for the projects FAC (Audiovisual Festival of Culture) Plataforma Energia da Cultura and Circuito Sapucaí. Is currently producing the feature film “La Quinta”, in co-production with Argentina, Chile and Spain and approved by the FSA's Cinema 2022 co-production call. It is also the producer of the feature films “Las Despenadoras”, in co-production with Uruguay, France and Mexico, and “Coração Rasgado”, in co-production with Portugal. Through its founder, the company is also responsible for the executive production and direction of several feature films and series featured in important Brazilian and international festivals such as IDFA, Hot Docs, Tiradentes and Brasília. His latest work is the production of the film "Lavra", directed by Lucas Bambozzi and produced by André Hallak (Casa.Film). Even as a project, LAVRA had an important career, being selected for markets and laboratories in various countries such as Cinemundi (Brazil), Nuevas Miradas (Cuba), Mafiz (Spain) and MMP (Germany). The film was launched at festivals such as IDFA (Holland) and was also shown at other important festivals around the world such as Hot Docs (Canada). In Brazil, it had its premiere at the Brasilia Film Festival, where it received the award for best photography and an honorable mention for sound. It also won the audience award at the Mostra Ecofalante. With distribution by Pandora "Lavra", it premiered in theaters and was acquired by Canal Brasil. André Hallak (Casa.Film) also conceived, produced and directed the series "Água de Plantar" The first season had 26 episodes and was shown on TV. He is currently developing the second season for the same channel.
