About Casco

Casco Area Workshop, as its primary mission, provides services to people with disabilities. Support and accommodation may take many forms. It may be advocating for the person to participate in a community or service organization or political structure, or encouraging businesses within the community to be more open and accessible to customers with disabilities. It may be assisting the person to gain the experience and skills needed to care for themselves and their home, or developing a job for them within the community which matches their vocational interests. It may also be advocating for and providing a sheltered work environment so they can become more productive, or work in a more accommodating environment than that of the competitive workplace. Casco’s mission is that of providing support. We do not value one service over another, but feel that each individual must determine which offers the best environment and quality for their life choices. Our organization is dedicated to the highest standards of accountability for administration, clinical, business, marketing and financial management. Casco’s leadership is fully committed to the need to prevent and detect fraud, fiscal mismanagement and misappropriation of funds and therefore, to the development of a formal corporate compliance program to ensure ongoing monitoring and conformance with all legal and regulatory requirements. Further, the organization is committed to the establishment, implementation and maintenance of a corporate compliance program that emphasizes (1) prevention of wrong doing—whether intentional or unintentional, (2) immediate reporting and investigation of questionable activities and practices without consequences to the reporting party and (3) timely correction of any situation which puts the organization, its leadership or staff, funding sources, or individuals at risk.
