CASE Ukraine is an independent, non-profitable, non-governmental organization engaged in economic research, analysis, and macroeconomic policy forecasts. The activity of CASE Ukraine is financed from different sources that guarantee the organization's independence. European Commission, UNDP, USAID, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, the World Bank, and private sector entities are main customers of our researches. Recent achievements ECONOMIC EDUCATION FOR VOTERS - Distribution of a Bill from the State in retail chain stores and through e-mail circulation. - Translation of videos and texts on the free market topics - Creation of a budgetary simulator, facilitating the understanding of the need for balancing revenue and expenses TRANSPARENCY OF STATE ENTERPRISES - Introduction of amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Transparency of Use of Public Funds” which will enhance accountability for failure to fulfil its requirements. - Research of the overall performance of state enterprises - Civic supervision over the privatization of enterprises EFFICIENCY OF BUDGETARY EXPENDITURES - Assessment of budgetary program priorities, chosen by officials - Analysis of expenses for socially useful objectives - Supervision over relevancy and efficiency of expenses REPLACEMENT OF CURRENCY RESTRICTIONS WITH FUTURES MARKET - Cancellation of the NBU’s requirements for mandatory currency selling by exporters lead bringing currency revenue to Ukraine - Implementation of the currency futures market, making it possible for the NBU to forecast fluctuations of currency supply and demand using the market method and allowing for insurance of currency risks by enterprises CUSTOMS SERVICE REFORM Analysis of the state customs policy, cancellation of unreasonable obstacles to international trade Research of smuggling schemes Development and promotion of recommendations on the customs service reform
