After years of working with the big guys, I turned my focus to the challenger space so I could use that experience to help them hire in the bigger business expertise they needed to professionalise and scale. My real passion lies in understanding what makes great businesses and the qualities of the people who make them succeed, so I’m hungry to learn and always looking to improve my understanding beyond traditional recruitment. This more holistic frame of reference helps me advise at business-level so I can recruit more consultatively, which is especially important given the more complex and nuanced dynamics around founder-led, VC-backed businesses.
