About 51st Castro Street Fair | San Francisco

We're excited to celebrate the 50th Castro Street Fair on Sunday, October 6, 2024! The Castro Street Fair—now one of San Francisco's most-beloved signature events—was founded by Harvey Milk in 1974 to promote gay-owned businesses and to highlight the vitality of the burgeoning Castro neighborhood. Now each year on the 1st weekend in October, the Fair continues Harvey's legacy by gathering hundreds of local artists, vendors, craftspeople, and organizations to celebrate and support our diverse community. Stages with live entertainment, DJs and dance areas can be found throughout the fairgrounds located in the heart of the Castro, with tens of thousands of residents and visitors congregating and exploring merchant activations, local arts and crafts, and food & beverage stations throughout the day. As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, all proceeds from the Castro Street Fair—including donations online and at the entry gates, sponsorships, and corporate partnerships—directly support dozens of local non-profits and charitable causes, as well as to fund the iconic rainbow flag that flies over the intersection of Castro and Market. Additionally, the Fair supports and amplifies the Castro's neighborhood businesses, and promotes our community's values of inclusivity, activism, love and hope throughout the year. +Follow us for updates, events, and opportunities to get involved with the Fair's big Five-Oh! #CSF50 #CastroStreetFair
