CATALYST FILMS

Catalyst Films is a non-profit organisation specialising in social impact campaigns for film, television and new media, with a particular focus on projects that are international in scope. It is headed up by Australian-British impact producer Dr Julia Hammett-Jamart, member of the Global Impact Producers Alliance and former Managing Director of BIM - Best Impact Movies, whose recent projects include the multi-award winning Zinder (France/Niger), the feature documentary Inside Gaza (2025 Movies that Matter 'DocsConnect Impact Award', 2024 Sunnyside of the Doc 'Best Global Issues Pitch') and a forthcoming VR experience (UK in devt). Catalyst's founding principle is that the challenges currently facing our world require pluridisciplinary solutions and global co-operation. To this end our Advisory Board is constituted of international experts in climate, public health, social justice, education, legal affairs and policy as well as young communications professionals who ensure our work touches the generations that will be most affected by change. Catalyst also leads impact producing workshops and masterclasses for key industry festivals and organisations including Venice Biennale College (Cinema Immersive), Festival de Cannes (Netherlands Film Academy), New Images Festival, EURODOC, Le Sommet des Arcs, La Fabrique des Formats and l'Institut National de l'Histoire d'Art, as well as KATUU, the annual residency for female filmmakers in Togo.
