CATEL LLC

CATEL company which was established in 1997, offers wireless connection services to WLL telephone subscribers in FH-CDMA standards, also services to mobile connection subscribers in 3G CDMA standards. CATEL was the first fixed wireless digital network in Azerbaijan to provide reliable and toll-quality telephone, facsimile, ISDN, Internet, and Data transsmission to customers. Since August 2004, for the first time in Azerbaijan, the company has started to apply 3rd generation technology to Azerbaijan, with the latest introduction of CDMA 2000 1x service based on the equipment of the Huawei company. This technology was implemented by American company Qualcomm and has several advantages compared to 2G mobile service standards: ecological safety, big network capacity, high speed data transmission, data and digital fax support etc. The company has announced its new trade mark FONEX to the telecommunications market for provision of its mobile services in CDMA standard in April 2007.
