The CATGPT (Child Advancement Technologies & Global Pedagogies Team) initiative @ the Education University of Hong Kong seeks to foster a global network focusing on the integration of cutting-edge technologies and innovative pedagogies in childhood education. It aims to achieve the following objectives: 1) Establish a dynamic collaborative ecosystem for the exchange of pioneering ideas, practices, and research findings, particularly in the fields of childhood education digitalization, cognitive neuroscience, artificial intelligence, and globally responsive pedagogy frameworks. 2) Develop a centralized resource-sharing platform that bolsters the capacity for research and development across continents and cultural contexts. 3) Forge strong liaisons with industry partners to facilitate the transliteration of research into viable solutions and advancements that serve children’s educational needs. 4) Advance the global dissemination of knowledge through strategic outputs such as annual conferences, policy briefs, academic publications, and a repository of accessible educational resources.
