CBM-VET

The CBM-VET initiative in São Tomé e Principe focuses on leveraging the potential of the Blue Economy, specifically in the port/maritime and fisheries sectors, to drive sustainable socio-economic development. By addressing gaps in skills, competence, quality, and infrastructure, the project aims to strengthen the VET community through improved resources, networking activities, and training management capacities. An e-platform facilitates cooperation, training, and knowledge sharing, while short-term staff visits and joint training frameworks enhance collaboration. The ultimate goal is to equip VET providers with the necessary skills and tools to meet industry standards, address challenges, and foster economic growth. The initiative has a significant impact on participating organizations, their staff, and the local fishing community.
