What is the CBPAR project?
The CBPAR project is a series of research initiatives that operate within a shared action space, combining social knowledge-seeking with community work to foster positive societal change. As its name suggests, the project utilizes the community-based participatory action research methodology to investigate specific community issues, needs, and challenges, while also designing and evaluating appropriate solutions.
The project aims to invest in community organisations' experience to promote research-based and impact-oriented community work. It builds partnerships with grassroots, CBOs, and voluntary teams that were founded around a cause, and involves them in research processes to derive grounded social knowledge about community issues to inform designing and evaluating community initiatives.
