Created in 1835, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ponta Delgada (CCIPD) is a private, non-profit Association.
CCIPD has a leader role in the development of business oriented services in the Azores, in the areas of labour, quality, environment, economic and fiscal, research and development, innovation and promotion of good businesses practices.
CCIPD is the host structure of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN). The EEN occupies a prominent place in CCIPD’s organisation, being the contact point for excellence within the organisation regarding European matters particularly regarding internationalisation, access to funding and business partnering support. It also supports the participation of SMEs in European events in order to increase their international visibility.
CCIPD has its own technical structure for providing support to SMEs.
In recent years has developed several initiatives, being a promoter and partner of European, national, cooperation projects INTERREG / MAC and others with ESDR and ESF funding;
CCIPD contributes to the definition of tools and services to be offered to SMEs and their adaptation to the European innovation hubs policies and is a founder member of the recently created (2021) Digital Innovation Hub of the Azores. (AzDIH).
