CCIS was established in 2000 within the Association of Arab Universities (AARU) plan in establishing scientific societies corresponding to different colleges in Arab Universities, to carry out scientific and academic activities at the level of the Arab world according to their specialization. CCIS is considered as an Arab umbrella for all IT faculties in the Arab world Universities. It is stemming from the association of Arab Universities. CCIS is a non-profit organization, and Zarqa University in Jordan has been selected to be the permanent residence for its General Secretariat.
