Creation of the infrastructure and the ASBL
Origin and mission of the project
The idea for our project arose following a ransomware attack on the employer of one of our team members.
In response to this incident, we put together a team of specialists with a range of cyber security expertise to track down the group of cyber criminals responsible for the attack and trace their activities.
Our initial investigation yielded promising results, so we decided to make a long-term commitment to hunting down malicious actors and providing blocklists and other protection tools to help everyone defend themselves against increasingly sophisticated cyber attacks.
A prevention platform is also under development. As our tools (beyond OpenCTI) are developed in-house by our team, we need time to develop and test them properly before gradually rolling them out online.
A Leetchi campaign has been set up for those wishing to support our project and contribute to the forthcoming establishment of our ASBL (non-profit association in Belgium).
