CCX Corvus Corax is a Team of Engineering students of Università degli Studi di Napoli "Federico II".
The aim of this team is to design an RC model plan that will take part to the competition Air Cargo Challenge 2024 in Aachen.
CCX Corvus Corax stems from relevant experiences of some of the members, who then gathered in the early months of 2023 and engaged to expand the project.
The CCX team is divided into 5 Departments, with the following roles:
- Structure Department: studying properties for composite materials, design, and FEM analysis of the structure
- CAD Department: Perform geometric modeling tasks on solid and surface modeling for the analysis
- Fluid dynamics Department: design of lifting surfaces, propellers, and stability features of the RC plane
- Avionics Department: design of the circuit for RC plane, including the telemetry system
- Marketing Department: Take care of the image of the team, including communication with other entities such as companies and partners
