CDFIN’s services include: safety from physical harm and re-traumatization; an understanding of the trauma survivor as a consumer of mental health care; an understanding that symptoms are contextual and vary according to life experience and culture; and an understanding that symptoms are adaptive attempts to cope and survive the traumatic event(s) rather than maladaptive behaviors.
