About CDH International Switzerland
CDH International is now an NGO in Switzerland. Our goal is to fund and conduct research into Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, a birth defect that occurs when a baby's diaphragm fails to fully form, allowing organs to enter the chest cavity and preventing lung growth. CDH strikes over 52,000 children world wide annually. The cause is unknown. CDH International is the world's oldest and largest Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia charity, founded in 1995 and working with patients and researchers in 74 countries.
