About Centre for Disaster Management and Public Safety (CDMPS)
The Centre for Disaster Management and Public Safety focuses on developing innovative solutions that address the real-world challenges facing academic, government and industry professionals in the disaster management and public safety environment. To achieve this, the Centre pursues objectives in research, training and engagement. CDMPS research takes a multi-disciplinary approach and focuses on themes of preparing for, responding to, recovering from, and mitigating against incidents across the all-hazards spectrum of disaster management. We focus on research projects related to the following 5 priority areas: 1. Understanding and Mitigating Extreme Events and Critical Incidents 2. Enabling Technology, Informatics and Critical Incidents 3. Improving Whole-Life Infrastructure System Performance and Resilience 4.
