CDMRP-University of Calicut

CDMRP is an unique extension center of Department of Psychology, University of Calicut with financial support of Social Justice Department, Government of Kerala. CDMRP aims to provides comprehensive, evidence based disability management and rehabilitation services to children with developmental disabilities (including Prevention, Early Intervention, Treatment and Psychosocial Rehabilitation) through community approach. CDMRP also act as an authentic platform to conduct need based training and awareness programme areas of disability and rehabilitation. CDMRP is an authentic platform for Clinical Services, Training, Research and skill based education in the area of disability through inter- institutional collaboration and community participation which will be a replicable model and create strategies of sustainable transformation of the persons with disabilities from all sectors of community. This Center is a first of its kind in Kerala and a comprehensive blend of Community Based disability management, recovery oriented Rehabilitation and need based research and human resource development, which will be a replicable model and strategies of sustainable transformation of the persons with disabilities from all sector of community. This center is in accordance with various social welfare initiatives of Ministry of Social Justices and the UN Convention for the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities which was ratified by Government of India.
