Welcome to Disaster Management and Mitigation Programme. The centre offered Disaster Management and Mitigation (DMM) programme sanctioned by the Higher Education Department, Government of Kerala is currently successfully underway in the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady. The Programme is a multidisciplinary Post Graduate (PG) programme that will be a unique model where the essence from both science and social science is to be brought together. This will help with the scientific understanding of hazards and risks involved with natural calamities and disasters and also look into the socio-economic and policy-making aspects regarding disaster risk reduction. Apart from conducting regular academic activities, the Disaster Management and Mitigation Programme was envisioned.
