University of Helsinki Centre for Research on Addiction, Control and Governance (CEACG) is a research unit at the Faculty of Social Sciences. The center has specialized in four comprehensive areas of research:
1. Addiction: Behaviours, concepts and theories
2. Legal control and policies of gambling, alcohol and drugs
3. Commercial operators and marketing of alcohol and gambling products
4. The welfare state and its social and healthcare systems
The CEACG-researchers are involved in several national and international research projects. The centre is funded by outside sources. It has a research cooperation contract with the Finnish Institute for Welfare and Health (THL).
