Arc Training Centre For Environmental And Agricultural Solutions To Antimicrobial Resistance company information, Employees & Contact Information

The Centre for Environmental and Agricultural Solutions to Antimicrobial Resistance (CEAStAR) was established to train the next generation of antimicrobial research scientists to mitigate the adverse impacts of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). AMR is a crisis with significant health, environmental and socio-economic impacts. With estimates predicting 10 million annual deaths by 2050 if nothing is done to curb AMR, it is critically important to develop solutions to this multifaceted global problem. Adopting a ‘One Health’ approach to acknowledge the interconnections between humans, plants, animals, and our shared environments, the Centre’s research programs will investigate novel new antimicrobials, explore ways to improve the health of livestock without the use of antibiotics, and identify, remove and/or treat contamination in the environment. CEAStAR is a collaborative effort led by The University of Queensland with University of Adelaide, Calix Ltd, BiomeMega Global, Edenvale Beverages, Invion Limited, Lixa Ltd., MGI Australia Pty Ltd, and Neoculi Pty Ltd.
