Since 1985, the Canadian Engineering Competition (CEC) has brought together 200 of the country’s brightest engineering students to compete in one of eight categories, ranging from consulting to programming to debate. Each competition category at CEC challenges its participants to develop innovative solutions to problems experienced in the engineering industry.
In partnership with the Canadian Federation of Engineering Students, the University of Waterloo will host the 39th annual Canadian Engineering Competition. After the pandemic forced the competition online for the past two years, our team at UW is looking forward to hosting this year's competition in person in the heart of our nation’s tech and innovation hub.
