Cannabis Research Center (CECANN, acronym in Spanish)

We are an organization with interest in promoting the development of scientific research in relation to cannabis and cannabinoids, in addition to the education and dissemination of scientific information that contributes to decision making. The field of cannabis and cannabinoid research is highly promising and deserves a critical discussion with a multidisciplinary approach with the aim of promoting science and innovation in this area. We develop and manage research projects that involve various areas of Cannabis and cannabinoids, in medicine, pharmacy, regulatory affairs, biotechnology, social sciences and agriculture. We also want to transmit the scientific evidence around Cannabis and cannabinoids to those who want to acquire greater technical knowledge in relation to their uses. We have pre and postgraduate specialization curricula. In addition, we develop educational programs focused on the prevention of problematic use in students of all levels and the general public. Accessibility to information is essential to have a better society, with critical thinking and ability to make informed decisions. Enriching the knowledge of people and government decision-making institutions is key to the development of a country. We work to make visible the science developed by various researchers around Cannabis and cannabinoids. Transmitting knowledge to different strategic audiences, in appropriate formats and languages for all.
