This care is provided in a secure and intimate, home-like environment. Our unique approach builds on each resident’s strengths, encourages choice in daily activities, and provides comfort and safety. This results in peace of mind for families.

Our Vision
Cedarhurst Dementia Care Home provides an alternative to conventional retirement homes and nursing homes. We provide a social model of care which builds on residual strengths and encourages maximum choice and independence for the residents. Our unique accommodations provide an intimate, homelike setting, and foster a family like atmosphere for our residents, families and staff. The normal activities of daily living form the basis for programming.
Families are an important part of Cedarhurst Dementia Care Home. We recognize the needs of each family, consult them regularly, and encourage them to participate in the development of the care plan for the resident. We encourage family and friends to visit often, and welcome them to share a meal or participate in a program.

Our residence is built specifically to accommodate the needs of residents with dementia, while simultaneously creating a warm home-like setting. Residents can move around the entire home and garden, freely and safely without the risk of harm or undue frustration.
