In der CEDAW-Allianz Deutschland engagieren sich mehr als 30 zivilgesellschaftliche Organisationen für die Umsetzung der UN-Frauenrechtskonvention CEDAW in Deutschland. Ziel dieses Menschenrechtsabkommens ist die Durchsetzung von Frauenrechten in allen Lebensbereichen und die Beseitigung jeder Form von Diskriminierung aufgrund des Geschlechts oder der Geschlechtsidentität. Die 2018 gegründete CEDAW-Allianz beobachtet die deutsche Legislative, Judikative und Exekutive in Bund, Ländern und Kommunen kritisch bei der Umsetzung und Anwendung der Frauenrechtskonvention.
The CEDAW Alliance Germany unites more than 30 civil society organizations working toward the implemention of the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) in Germany. The aim of the international convention is to enforce women's rights in all areas of life and to eliminate all forms of discrimination. The CEDAW Alliance, founded in 2018, critically monitors the German legislative, judicial and executive branches at the federal, state and local levels in their implementation and application of CEDAW.
