We are working on communicable and non-communicable diseases, with the greatest challenge of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and its impact on animal, human and environmental health. We are particularly concerned about the impact of infectious diseases and AMR on the most vulnerable groups such as children, newborns, pregnant women and other immuno-compromised people. Our clinical and research activities allow surveillance of outbreaks, detection of novel mechanisms of bacterial resistance, reporting to policy-makers, and increased awareness to practitioners and the general population.
