About Cedeplar

The Center for Development and Regional Planning (Cedeplar) is a research centre founded in 1967 as an office directly connected to the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). In 1968, it started a postgraduate (Masters) programme in Economics. Since then, as an office liked to the Faculty of Economics, Cedeplar has been home for the Postgraduate Programmes in Demography and in Economics.
