Addressing Australia's energy and resource challenges The Centre for Energy and Natural Resources Innovation and Transformation (CENRIT) is a multidisciplinary research centre engaging with national and international researchers on a broad range of intergenerational economic, social, legal, scientific, and engineering issues to assist with the transformation of Australia’s energy systems and natural resources to meet the target of net-zero emissions by 2050. CENRIT is positioned at the forefront of research in energy, natural resources, innovation and transformation. Given the importance of innovation and transformation and its governance in the energy transition, CENRIT focuses on law and policy issues related to four broad research themes: *mineral and energy resources *water and oceans *the land *governance, geopolitics, and international relations.
