The CENTAC is a centre dedicated to promoting the development of accessibility technology within the fields of business, industry and services in order to facilitate access to them and improve the quality of life for:

- persons with disability
- their relatives
- & their carers
CENTAC has been set up within the framework of integration and equality policies regarding the rights of all, irrespective of physical or social conditions. These policies have been undertaken by the various Regional Governments of Spain in recent years.
The CENTAC is a joint initiative (public-private partnership) by:
- The Secretary of State for Social Services, Families and Disability.

- The Secretary of State for Telecommunications and for the Information Society.
