Located in the campus of the Universidad de los Andes, Chile, IMPACT ultimate challenge is to catalyze the gained knowledge into a translational pathway for life-saving therapies. IMPACT’s main goal is to develop and accelerate scientific breakthroughs that impact people’s health and the quality of their lives. By implementing strategies to bypass the system-wide bottlenecks in the bench to bedside process, patients will have access to advanced therapies, avoiding the current indebtedness, or the inevitability of traveling abroad to seek healthcare. The center will make a bold strategic shift to bring life-saving innovations related to tissue engineering, cellular, immune and gene therapies as novel solution for unmet medical needs.
