About Center for Authentic Intellectual Work
Our commitment is to fundamentally improve the quality of teaching and learning. We increase the capacity of teachers with a practitioner-driven process that empowers them to better analyze instruction, assessment and student work using Authentic Intellectual Work (AIW), a research-based framework. We typically work with teachers and administrators in elementary and secondary schools to improve classroom instruction, unit planning, curriculum alignment, teacher collaboration, communication, data-based decision making, strategic planning and successful PLC (Professional Learning Communities) implementation. Because we specialize in improving community and increasing personal reflection, we also work with administrators and executives to improve collaboration, communication, data-based decision making, strategic planning and equity issues.
