Central Biotechnology Services (CBS) is an ISO 9001:2015 certified and Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) accredited Cardiff University Core Technology Facility. CBS provides user access and fully managed services for Cardiff University researchers and colleagues from other academic institutions, the NHS and industry. Technology areas include flow cytometry, bioimaging, gene expression, bioinformatics and protein analysis.
The team of Technology Specialists with extensive Quality Management expertise offers comprehensive services, including advice on experimental design, sample preparation, data analysis and Quality Management Systems. Extensive training is offered to introduce the different technologies, for instrument operation (user access) and in data analysis.
CBS also hosts companies, enables academic consultancy and facilitates access to a wide range of resources at Cardiff University, across Wales and the GW4 Alliance (https://gw4.ac.uk).
