Central Chambers, Manchester

Central Chambers, Manchester company information, Employees & Contact Information

Central Chambers was founded in 1996. Based in the city centre, we have grown through recruitment and pupillages offered with a view to tenancy. We continue to accept applications from established crime, family, and coronial law practitioners. Our criminal defence team has particular expertise in computer and internet crime and a strong reputation in cases involving expert witnesses and human rights considerations. Our family law department covers all areas of public and private law and has specialists in financial disputes, Court of Protection, and DOLS work. We have specialists in many other fields, such as equality & human rights law, housing law, judicial review, mental health, courts-martial, inquests, protest law and prisoners’ rights. We have specialist tenants in areas such as intellectual property and commercial/mercantile law. Central Chambers has members who are able to provide representation through the Direct Public Access (DPA) Scheme. See the individual practice areas to find the right barrister for your case. The DPA Scheme allows members of the public to obtain the services of a barrister directly. We are proud to offer a specialist law clinic for members of the LGBTQIA+ community – a group that is traditionally under-represented within the legal world. Initial assistance is free and we may be able to assist you on a pro bono basis, depending upon your legal issue. We believe this to be the only clinic of its type in England and Wales. We invite applications from prospective tenants who would like to join our expanding and modern set. Click here to find out more. Central Chambers has CPD accreditation from both the Solicitors Regulatory Authority and The Bar Standards Board. Our members are experts in their fields and provide training to solicitors and barristers in those specialist areas. We are an approved AETO.
