Centre for Emerging Communities is a development organisation working with communities through lenses of governance, law, public policy and climate change.
Inspired by Winston's "We are not at the end of something but beginning something else" and presently we are working on the below projects based out of the Telangana state
1. Traditional knowledge for adaptations to climate change, in the tribal districts of Telangana under scheduled areas to study the tribal knowledge practices on traditional agriculture, ethnomedicines, early warning systems and mitigation strategies.
2. Land Literacy and Legal Aid Program (3LAP) to support the tribal communities from scheduled areas for issues related to land alienation, land disputes with outsiders and all other issues dealing with the land rights through land governance, legal literacy and legal aid in the Telangana state.
3. Information, Education & Communication (IEC) support to the Government of Telangana for developing proposals for new projects, impact studies, research, designing program-specific IEC materials, monitoring and evaluation strategies and documentation support.
