About Centre for Emerging Risk Studies

The Centre for Emerging Risk Studies (CERS) is a research centre based in the University of Limerick, Ireland. We cover a variety of fields including, but not limited to, Insurance, Risk, Toxicology, Nanomaterials, Ethics, Law and Finance. Although our main goal as a team is to emphasise the wider impact that emerging technologies will have on social structures, we thrive off creating innovative solutions to fledgling issues. We accomplish our commitments by regularly collaborating with established industry leaders, publishing in respected academic journals and participating in as many conferences as we can find. Currently we are participating in multiple large-scale national and pan-European research projects, with more projects on the horizon.
