Centre for Human and Community Development

Centre for Human and Community Development is a non-profit development oriented organization that facilitates human and community development driven by community stakeholders. Since its inception in 2014, CHCD has been actively facilitating the transformation of African villages through its Community Driven Development Initiative (CDDI). With over 50 partners, we support vulnerable communities through our interventions which are aimed at reducing poverty, terrorism tendencies, gender inequalities, rural-urban migration, out of school children, high mortality rate as well as illiteracy. So far, CHCD has worked in mostly rural communities in Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Bauchi, Benue state in Nigeria, West Africa. It has also worked in communities across Tunisia and Kenya, East Africa.
