Centre Port will be the worlds first deep sea container terminal situated in The Wash area in the United Kingdom connecting Lincoln and Norfolk constructed on top of an 11-mile long hydroelectric barrage.
Centre Port will provide guardianship of the ecology of The Wash and Fenlands, its agriculture and the preservation of the natural habitat in the face of escalating climate change.
It's mission is to boost the UK economy with the worlds first tidal energy powered container port, capable of handling the worlds largest container vessels and processing 1.5 teu annually trading with international deep see markets.
The scheme is also a major generator of hydroelectric renewable energy, not only powering the container terminal, but also providing clean, measurable energy for c600,000 homes and businesses annually whilst safeguarding 700,000 residents from tidal surges in the region.
