About Centre for Renewable Energy - Wind Energy Division

Centre for Renewable Energy – Wind Energy Division (CRE.Wind) was established in November 2019 under the umbrella of the Centre for Renewable Energy (CRE) at the Faculty of Engineering, the British University in Egypt. The centre’s main goal is to boost the wind energy development in Egypt by offering technical support to companies working in this field and to host innovative researchers interested in investigating new means of wind energy harvesting. The CRE.Wind is supported by the WESET project (Erasmus + Programme, Key Action 2, Capacity Building in Higher Education) to help reduce the lack of skilled engineers in wind engineering in Egypt and Tunisia, which hinders the use of wind as a reliable, cost-effective and pollution-free source of energy. The wind energy division of the CRE is managed by Prof. Ahmed Elbaz with the support of a group of ambitious staff members and research assistants. CRE - Wind is led by Prof. Ahmed Elbaz in addition to a group of ambitious staff members of teaching and research assistants.
