About Center for Peace Advocacy and Sustainable Development
ABOUT US Center for Peace Advocacy and Sustainable Development (CEPASD) is a youth-focused nongovernmental organization registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission in November 2018 and UN Volunteer WHAT WE DO CEPASD works to engage, advocate, mobilize, inspire, build youth resilience and impact communities through peacebuilding, preventing violent extremism, advocacy against gender-based violence, promotion and fostering of sustainable development goals and leadership across Africa while building the capacity of young people to become resilient peace advocates, ambassadors to champions of peaceful coexistence as well as mentoring them on nation-building, patriotism, leadership, entrepreneurship, education, innovation, youth empowerment, social justice, development, and sustainability. CEPASD promotes and fosters the international Youth, Peace, and Security agenda UNSCR 2250, 2535, and AU Peace and Security agenda also work on policy formulation to enhance global practices in peacebuilding and peace education. CEPASD is a member of the U.S Youth, Peace and Security Coalition, Nigeria youth for peace and security coalition, West Africa Civil Society E-directory, Restless Collective Youth Development, and Alliance of NGO's and CSOs for South-South cooperation and UN Sustainable Development Solution Network CEPASD was nominated for the African NGO Impact Award 2020 and Abuja Best Youth NGO of year in 2020 VISION CEPASD envisions a world where everyone will live in peace and harmony devoid of violence and conflict, have access to justice, and respect for human rights MISSION To foster Sustainable Peace and development by building youth resilience in advocating for peace, social justice human rights, promoting education, youth leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, and development To enhance policy formulation and implementation in peacebuilding and advocate against gender based-violence
