Kessia Cericola empowers businesses, social enterprises and nonprofits by providing sound legal advice and excellent legal services, while avoiding the waste of resources. She focuses on immigration (employment and family-based US visas) and business transactions, including entity formation, contracts, negotiation, due diligence and intellectual property in the U.S. and Brazil. Most of her US clients are minority-owned businesses (women and/or immigrant-owned). She also assists international companies with presence in the US.
Kessia was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, and has been living in the US for 12 years. From ages 3-17, she lived inside her parents' nonprofit which helped recover hundreds of homeless men and men facing addiction. Her mother is a Chilean immigrant in Brazil and Kessia witnessed first-hand the strength and resilience required to thrive in another country. Her upbringing shaped the way she sees the world and is the reason why she chose to become an attorney. Serving her clients and helping them do business well and achieve their purpose in a legally safe way is one of the biggest joys of her life.
Kessia is one of the few Portuguese Provisionally Certified Court Interpreter in Ohio, and is also a co-founder of Alive in My Heart, a nonprofit organization that helps families impacted by infant mortality in Columbus, Ohio.
