Certification Engineers International Limited (CEIL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Engineers India Limited (EIL), a Govt. of India Undertaking, was incorporated in 1994 under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. CEIL was formed with a prime objective to do certification job as an independent body as felt by then Ministry of Petroleum and President of India based on suggestion of ONGC and World Bank to undertake Certification, Re-certification, Safety Audit and HSE Management Systems activities for various critical Offshore and Onshore Oil & Gas facilities. It presently also undertakes ‘Third Party Inspection’ of equipment and installations in hydrocarbon and other quality sensitive sectors of Industry. Off late CEIL has diversified into Quality audit and construction supervision for various state govt. Infrastructure development, Oil and Gas Installation, Technical and Safety Audits & ERDMP Certification of downstream facilities, Pipeline Integrity Management System Certification, Hazard & Operability (HAZOP) studies and Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRA) & Energy Service Contracting (ESCO) business areas. CEIL is only Govt. of India - state owned company working since last 2 decades in wide range of strategically critical projects of national importance. CEIL is having the potential of highly expertise engineers whose knowledge of national and international standards and best practices that is helping India to achieve self-sufficiency in Energy, Quality, Safety and Security of Sensitive assets of India.
