Ceylon Diamond Aquatics

Ceylon Diamond Aquatics was established in March 2017 with the aim of providing superior quality ornamental fish and aquatic plants to the international market. We are keeping up with the current global standards of international trade during the exportation process. However, we had a humble beginning since its inception as a family own business. At the beginning we carried out wholesale and retail business at our farm premises and then we supplied ornamental fish for other renowned exporters in Sri Lanka. At present we have expanded our business to export ornamental fish and aquatic plants directly to many destinations all around the world. Our proprietress Mrs Shamina Perera is an Attorney at Law in Sri Lanka and the business venture is well supported by her husband Dr Yohan Canisious, a consultant cardiothoracic surgeon in Sri Lanka. Mrs Shamina Perera had completed training in ornamental fish breeding and rearing at National Aquaculture Development Authority (NAQDA) and National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency (NARA). Our Facilities We are equipped with a breeding area, nursery and grow out tanks for production purposes and separate reception area, quarantine area, sorting and packaging area for exportation process. In addition, we are connected to a network of well-maintained regional farms which are under our direct observation and NAQDA as well. We follow a stringent quarantine process at our farm premises and provide quarantine certificate for each and every shipment. We use well water which is sterilized and aerated for more than 24 hours for exportation purposes. Ceylon Diamond Aquatics is situated 10km North of Colombo city and 20km from the Katunayake Bandaranayake International Airport. Our location has also helped us immensely to avoid transportation delays as well as to supply stress-free fish to our customers.
