China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation

China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) (Chinese: 中国扶贫基金会) is a nongovernmental charitable organization based in Beijing and registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs, PRC, in 1989. Domestically, CFPA’s work primarily focuses on four areas, namely health, education, rural development and disaster relief. By the end of 2017, CFPA has accumulatively raised poverty alleviation funds and materials of RMB 34.09 billion, benefiting 33million person-times. Internationally, we have carried out humanitarian relief and poverty reduction work in 20 countries and regions, accumulatively inputting $ 20 million of cash and materials, benefiting more than 400 thousand people. At present, CFPA has implemented long-term projects in Ethiopia, Sudan, Uganda, Myanmar and Nepal, with Myanmar and Nepal offices officially registered.
