Care for Real's mission is to foster healthy and equitable communities by helping neighbors and families overcome food insecurity with dignity.
Since their founding more than 54 years ago, Care for Real has been about neighbors helping neighbors. Care for Real distributes food six days a week through its locations in Edgewater and Rogers Park and through the Home Delivery Program. Food pantry clients can access pet food, clothing, referrals, and personal care items. Serving 12,720 unique individuals during last fiscal year, Care for Real is committed to caring for its community.
