About IRDR Centre for Gender and Disaster
About The IRDR Centre for Gender and Disaster is a world leading trans-disciplinary research centre, based in the Institute for Risk and Disaster Reduction at UCL. The Centre aims to develop awareness of, and responsiveness to, gender in the context of hazard, risk, disaster and conflict. Its approach is feminist and decolonial and it aims to employ these in bridging the gaps between ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ sciences; and between dominant and subaltern voices. This page focuses on the activities of the Centre and also the Centre's flagship project GRRIPP (Gender Responsive Resilience and Intersectionality in Policy and Practice). For more information on GRRIPP, please visit https://www.grripp.net/
