Methane is responsible for as much global warming as carbon dioxide, yet receives very little attention. We invest in methane abatement technologies that are economically viable, scaleable and proven. The leading contender that ticks all three boxes today is capturing methane that would have gone into the atmosphere from landfills, farms and wastewater plants and converting that into electricity for securing and validating the Bitcoin network. We allow our investors to get exposure to the bitcoin ecosystem without the volatility of bitcoin price fluctuation, and are able to generate an attractive yield even during Bitcoin downturns. We also provide transparent carbon accounting that shows how many tonnes of carbon emissions each invested dollar removes. For our investee companies, we provide a sophisticated investor who is value aligned to their environmental principles and understands how bitcoin and bitcoin mining works, and believes in the bitcoin vision.
