Challenger Research Journal

The Challenger Research Journal is a student-run, peer-reviewed journal that promotes the works of underrepresented undergraduate scholars at UC San Diego. Inspired by Dr. Ronald E. McNair’s contributions as an outstanding scholar and representative of underrepresented communities of color, the Challenger was founded in 2019 to provide McNair Scholars the opportunity to publish and share their research. The overwhelming positive response it received allowed the Challenger to expand its publishing program to all Undergraduate Research Hub Programs (URH) Scholars at UC San Diego. The Challenger seeks to provide a voice for scholars of all backgrounds to express their unique lens on contemporary global issues and positively impact their communities.
