#ChangeTheNow started in 2018 as a region-wide Changemaking movement hosted by Georgian College – Canada’s first and only Ashoka Changemaker College - in partnership with Ashoka Canada and the Simcoe County District School Board.
Today #ChangeTheNow brings together a global community of socially focused students, educators, faculty and community members inspiring them to create the positive change they would like to see. #CTN uses in person engagements and virtual learning platforms to connect, engage and equip Changemakers from around the world to innovate together. In-person and hybrid programming includes live in-person programming in community impact labs and maker spaces.
#ChangeTheNow, is supported by the Social Innovation team at Georgian College. This support includes coaching interested educators, faculty, youth facilitators and leaders on how to use creative innovation frameworks such as human centred design thinking, systems thinking and compelling conversations to respond to the calls to action under the United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
