Chanmaya is a yoga brand that doesn’t play by traditional yoga rules. We create design led mats for modern yogis that put performance and quality ahead of spirituality and chakras. Yoga has exploded in popularity over the last decade and shows no signs of slowing. We (like millions of others) loved our yoga practice but wanted to shift the focus away from the mystic and spiritual elements of the tradition. We wanted to create a yoga brand that valued performance, style and the joy of yoga as an amazing workout. From these ideals, Chanmaya was born. Our mats are created in the UAE and engineered for ultimate yoga performance. Produced in breathable eco materials – Chanmaya mats offer perfectly balanced grip, comfort, and absorption. From gentle sun salutations to intense Bikram sessions, our mats are designed to stand up to the toughest Yoga practice. Beautiful design is at the heart of the Chanmaya story. We partner with incredible artists and graphic designers from around the world to create distinctive images that don’t follow traditional yoga themes. Our print process uses water-based inks that have amazing staying power as well as eco-friendly credentials. Our mats are easy to clean and our designs are resistant to fade even after extensive use. All our mats are free of PVC and latex. This means they are kinder on the skin and on the environment. We don’t use any animal products in our production process and choose materials that are naturally biodegradable. Even the inks used in our designs are water-based and free from harmful chemicals.
