Welcome to Chara Active, a kids’ clothing brand inspired by the strength and power of our children. Founded by Rebecca and husband David, parents to two amazing and active kids. We embarked on this journey and after years of contemplation and dreaming we have brought our vision to life.
The name “Chara” came to us during our family holiday in Bali, where we searched the word and learned that it means strength and powerful in Serbian. We felt it perfectly represented our vision for the brand. Symbolising the power and resilience we see in every child, it was during this time that we realized the importance of creating a brand that not only celebrates uniqueness but also raises awareness for conditions like Tourette Syndrome, which our daughter bravely faces.
Our daughter’s diagnosis with Tourette syndrome and observing similar patterns in our son led us to realize the importance of inclusivity. Through Chara Active, we aim to raise awareness for diverse and inclusive communities.
We believe in fostering a sense of strength, silliness, honesty, kindness, and activity in our children. These values are at the core of our brand, regardless of anyone’s background or abilities. In line with this mission, a portion of our proceeds will be donated to charities that align with our passion for inclusivity and supporting children’s wellbeing.
Sustainability is a cause dear to us, and we’re committed to exploring the use of eco-friendly materials for our clothing, that not only looks and feels good but also we strive to make a positive impact on our precious environment for generations to come.
